Barracas - Favelas
16.000 people is Boa Vista population, 80% come from other Islands or Senegal to work in tourism or street selling.
In Sal Rei, the main village, lives ca. 2000 persons. Barraca is a self construction settlement without infrastructures and lodges 10.000 people mainly working in the tourism industry. Houses have no fixed roofs as precipitation is minimal
