Firstly, many thanks for all nice comments to the pictures. I am looking forward to discover further interesting railway shots in the fc !
My main photographic interests are steam locomotives in regular (revenue) and authentical services and disappearing vintage / historical railways around the World.
I use exclusively 50 and 85mm lenses, my main goal is to show the trains in their typical surroundings and landscape, as the eyes will catch it.
Photos taken 1990 - 2011 in around 35 countries
All pictures taken on 24x36 (135) and 60x70mm (120) slide films.

Meine Hauptinteresse gilt den planmässig oder stilecht eingesetzten Dampflokomotiven weltweit sowie weiteren altbau-Fahrzeugen und Anlagen der Eisenbahn.
Bei meinen Aufnahmen bevorzüge ich 50 bis 85mm Brennweiten mit Motiven im Stil der 'Wiener Schule' - also ganz klassisch. Meine Interesse für Standaufnahmen und Lokportraits ist sehr gering. Hauptziel bleibt bei mir, die Züge in deren Umgebung und typischen Landschaften zu zeigen...
Alle Bilder sind auf Diafilmen 24x36 (135) oder 60x70 (120) aufgenommen.

Hallo Alex,natürlich freut es den Weltensammler ungemein, dass du diese Community bereicherst. Der Anfang sieht doch schon sehr vielversprechend aus und ich freue mich auf weitere Mastershots von dir (sicher auch irgendwann im deutschen Teil der Fotocommunity ...)! Also viel Spaß hier und immer gut Licht und auf viele weitere schöne Erlebnisse am Schienenrand!
