SPICY ARTWORKS

2016. Es ging für mich ein Lebenstraum in Erfüllung. Ich erfand an einem jamaikanischen Strand an türkisblauem Meer das Label "Spicy Artworks" - meine langersehnte Mischung aus Freiheit, Fotografie und Film. Als gelernte Biochemikerin hatte ich lange Zeit ein buntes Gemisch beruflicher Tätigkeiten ausgeübt bis hin zu 20 Jahren als Chefin von "blue dsign", meiner eigenen Grafik- und Webdesignagentur. Seit 14 Jahren wohnen mein Ehemann Matthias und ich in Meckenbeuren nahe des Bodensees. Er unterstützt mich bei der gemeinsamen Arbeit tatkräftig mit Marketing, Organisation und Management. Zusätzlich ist er Autor der Blogbeiträge, Textgestalter sowie Moderator der musikalisch untermalten Filmvorträge.

Spicy Artworks ist eine professionelle Kombination von cooler Fotografie, live moderierten Multivisionsshows, Videografie, kreativer Digital Art und interessanten Blogs sowie spannenden Fotoreisen. Das Label steht für das, was ich mit Leidenschaft und Engagement tue: Fotografieren und Filmemachen. Eine Webseite u.a. mit einem umfangreichen Reise- und Fotoblog sowie ein informativer, werbefreier Newsletter ergänzen die Angebotspalette. In den sozialen Medien findet man Spicy Artworks mit Fanseiten in Facebook, Instagram und YouTube. Alles mit Leidenschaft geschaffen, gestaltet und präsentiert.

Was treibt mich, die ich bereits seit meiner frühesten Jugend mit Passion und Elan fotografiere, eigentlich an? Es ist die unbändige visuelle und inhaltliche Kraft von Bildern. Die Geschichten davor und dahinter. Ich mache Bilder, Videos und Filme, die außergewöhnliche, traurige, schöne, glückliche, bedenkenswerte, erinnerungswürdige Geschehnisse, Situationen, Hintergründe zeigen.

Besonders zufrieden bin ich, wenn ich anderen Menschen mit Hilfe ihrer Fotos und Filme Emotionen und Gefühle vermitteln kann, die ich selbst in ganz besonderen Momenten verspürt habe. Tiere in einzigartiger Natur und traumhaften Landschaften hautnah sehen und erleben. Aber auch kleine Botschaften senden, inspirieren, die Phantasie anregen und auffordern, etwas Sinnvolles und Positives für und auf diesem Planeten zu tun. Und ich fotografiere gerne Menschen, die in herausfordernden Umgebungen arbeiten oder in enger Verbindung mit der Natur leben. So wie sie in Wirklichkeit sind.

Ich bin in meinem Leben viel durch die Welt gereist, immer auf der Suche nach Abenteuern und Wegen, um von Kulturen und Menschen zu lernen. Und tue es zusammen mit Matthias immer noch mit Begeisterung. Ich habe meinen Weg gefunden und bin sehr glücklich darüber.

2017. A lifelong dream came true for me. I invented the label "Spicy Artworks" on a Jamaican beach by the turquoise sea - my long-awaited mixture of freedom, photography and film. As a trained biochemist, I actually had a colorful mixture of professional activities for a long time, including 20 years as head of "blue dsign", my own graphic and web design agency. My husband Matthias and I have been living in Meckenbeuren near Lake Constance for 14 years. He actively supports me in the joint work with marketing, organization and management. In addition, he is the author of the blog posts, text designer and moderator of the film lectures accompanied by music.

Spicy Artworks is a professional combination of cool photography, live multivision shows, videography, creative digital art and interesting blogs plus exciting photo travels. The label stands for what I do with passion and commitment: photography and filmmaking. A website with, among other things, an extensive travel and photo blog as well as an informative, advertising-free newsletter complete the range of offers. On social media, Spicy Artworks can be found with fan pages on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Everything created, designed and presented with passion.

What actually drives me, who has been photographing with passion and vigor since my earliest youth? It is the irrepressible visual and content-related power of images. The stories before and after. I make pictures, videos and films that show extraordinary, sad, beautiful, happy, thought-provoking, memorable events, situations and backgrounds.

I am particularly satisfied when, with the help of their photos and films, I can convey emotions and feelings to other people that I felt myself in very special moments. See and experience animals up close in unique nature and dreamy landscapes. But also send small messages, inspire, stimulate the imagination and ask to do something meaningful and positive for and on this planet. And I like photographing people who work in challenging environments or live in close connection with nature. As they really are.

I have traveled the world a lot in my life, always looking for adventure and ways to learn from cultures and people. And I still do it with enthusiasm together with Matthias. I found my way and I'm very happy about it.
