Vigilant but Keeping in the Holiday Spirit

I was going to title this "New York Proud," but I see that title is already taken by another of my NYC photographs.(*)

Holiday crowds were large around Rockefeller Center and along Fifth Avenue in front of the dazzling display that was the facade of Saks Fifth Avenue's flagship department store on this nippy Sunday night in December in midtown Manhattan.

There was a large presence of NYPD personnel to control the happy throngs
of pedestrians and keep the intersections along Fifth Avenue functioning.

It was nice to see that, while appropriately watchful, this officer was also
enjoying the contagious Holiday Season festiveness along the avenue.
