The spacious plaza is part of New York's City Hall Park in Lower Manhattan.

The building seen at left is City Hall, while the taller one is the Municipal Building.

In front is one of the entrances to the combined Subway stations of the Lexington Avenue (IRT) 4,5
and 6 lines and the (BMT) Nassau Street line operated by J and Z trains, connecting Broad Street,
farther downtown, with Brooklyn and Queens, via the Williamsburg Bridge (*) over the East River.
