Oh dear, only now I realize what you've noticed in my picture... As I'm not a real photographer, I often shoot for the whole scene , without a particular care to individual details that I discover later.
    CIAo caro Fratello, buona serata

the question is: why does a subject attract us? Why do we want to make a photo of it? Why do we hold the camera exactly so and not in another perspective? We have a lot of knowledge about photography, we learned in our life to see - trained with art, normal life and thousands of pictures in media - all this sums up in our mind and is always there - in the back, deep down. And so, with all our knowledge and experience we see the world...and sometimes it makes "click" and we think, this subject should be photographed. Then we take our camera, focus it and shoot - and in that little moment all of our unconsciously knowledge takes over. Sure you did this photograph without thinking about what I told you in my first comment - but you wouldn't have done it, when the man stood in front of an "Edicola" or a fruit-shop...You did it exactly this way, because everything in the composition fits with your experience and your knowledge.
Okay..some of my thoughts about what we're doing, when we take pictures....
Ciao, mia cara sorella, buona giornata!
