Grossser Umbau im Bicentennial Conservatory
im Adelaide Botanic Garden und Cascade Glas Brunnen. 500 Glasstücke wurden verleimt um diese Flutwelle darzustellen. Als Teil der Zweihundertjahrfeier von Adelaide wurde das australische Konservatorium im Jahr 1987 gebaut und Ende 1989 eröffnet. Das Gebäude wurde von dem lokalen Architekten Guy Maron entworfen und erhielt Auszeichnungen für seine Konzeption, Engineering und Landschaftsgestaltung. Es ist 100 m (328 ft) lang, 47 154 m breit und 27 m (89) hoch, damit das größte Single span Konservatorium in der südlichen Hemisphäre. Das Konservatorium beinhaltet einen vom Aussterben bedrohter Regenwald mit Pflanzen aus Nord-Australien, Papua Neuguinea, Indonesien und Süd Pazifik-Inseln. Es wird oft als „The Crystal Pasty") von den Einheimischen wegen seiner Ähnlichkeit mit ein massive halbrunden gefülltes Gebäck bezeichnet.

As part of Adelaide's celebration of the Australian Bicentenary the conservatory was constructed in 1987 and opened in late 1989. The building was designed by local architect Guy Maron and has won awards for its design, engineering and landscaping. It is 100 metres (328 ft) long, 47 metres (154 ft) wide and 27 metres (89 ft) high making it the largest single span conservatory in the southern hemisphere. The conservatory houses at risk or endangered tropical rainforest plants from northern Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and south Pacific Islands. The conservatory is often referred to as "The Pasty" (or "The Crystal Pasty") by locals[citation needed], because of its resemblance to a massive semicircular stuffed pastry.
