Another angle and tone for this grand monument. I could not get a satisfactory shot at this angle without including the chimneys from cottages just below the ruin. I dont think they detract too much from the pic.

Superb shot, Dominic,well done. I think it could do with a bit more of a Brooding atmosphere, the place has obviously had a violent and checkered history. Great shot.

This is my favourite castle in South England !
The "poor man's housing" goes well with the proud building ! Keep informing the rest of the world, because the BTB needs urgently some help !
