I started in my backyard, taking photos of birds in 1996. With time my interest has grown to a very wide range of subjects: landscapes, macro, insects, abstracts, people, fauna, flora, night sky, ... In 2004, I made the "switch" to digital and a better equipment. From there my interest made a big leap forward. Then, I felt the inspiration to start a Website dedicated to Nature, to cherish it and protect it.
There are so many things to discover, appreciate, share, love, inform, even fear, etc... To help me have fun with this wonderful hobby, my actual "tools" are Canon EOS 30D and 40D (since 2007-09-21), EFS 10-22, 17-40 F4 L, 70-200 F2.8 L IS, 300 F4 L IS, 500 F4 L IS, EFS 60 F2.8 Macro, 300 F2.8 L IS.
I think we share one of the best passion in the world, first, because it is fun, of course, but more than that, it is also unlimitted and we can always learn more and more from each other. Even if we come from all parts of our beautiful, fragile, small (and getting smaller every day...) blue planet, sometime, we can feel the "proximity" with each other because we can receive and give this particular emotion that a photo will produce... and emotion it's human and universal, without any "artificial frontier" made by men over the years. Is it not fantastic? Speaking of that, I hope that my pictures will do a better job than my english ;-) sorry for that.
Thanks to all members of fotocommunity, you are a great inspiration for me, and please, don't hesitate to give me your comments: positive or constructive; I have so much to learn and discover... and like you, I'm sure, not enough time. So, we must enjoy each day like it was the last... and have fun good weather or not !

Tout a commencé en 1996 dans la cours arrière de ma maison lorsque j'ai acheté une mangeoire a oiseaux... Puis j'ai acheté des jumelles pour observer ceux-ci de plus près... suivi d'une lunette d'approche. Après peu de temps, le désir de garder un souvenir de ces merveilleuses créatures ailées l'a emporté et j'ai acheté un adapteur photo... En 2004, j'ai fait le saut au numérique, à un équipement de meilleur qualité et là, j'ai vraiment eu la "piqûre"... Depuis, j'ai commencé à développer un site Web qui a pour objet de sensibiliser à la beauté de la Nature et surtout, à sa protection.
Il y a tant à découvrir, apprécier, partager, aimer, craindre, informer, etc... Mes principaux outils dans ce merveilleux hobby sont : Canon EOS 30D et 40D (depuis 2007-09-22), EFS 10-22, 17-40 F4 L, 70-200 F2.8 IS L, 300 F4 IS L , 500 F4 IS L, 300 F2.8 IS L et 60 EF-S F2.8 Macro.
Je pense que nous partageons l'une des plus belles passions au monde, tout d'abord parce que c'est un réel plaisir, bien sûr, mais aussi, beaucoup, parce que c'est illimité et que nous pouvons toujours apprendre de plus en plus les uns des autres...
Même si nous venons tous d'un peu partout sur notre belle, fragile, petite (et rapetissant de plus en plus vite...) planète bleue, nous pouvons tous ressentir cette "proximité" les uns avec les autres grâce à ces émotions que nous pouvons recevoir ou partager par cet extraordinaire médium qu'est la photo... Or, n'y a-t-il pas plus humain et universel qu'une émotion? ça ne connaît pas les frontières artificielles établies par les Hommes au fil des ans et ça voyage plus vite que la lumière ;-) N'est-ce pas fantastique?

Vous êtes une réelle inspiration pour moi et n'hésitez pas à me donner vos commentaires, positifs ou constructifs; il y a tant à apprendre et découvrir... et si peu de temps... profitons de chaque jour comme si c'était le dernier, beau temps mauvais temps !
