Cosa c'è di nuovo?

Rob Nagelhout

Basic Membro, Heemskerk

Su di me

My name is Rob Nagelhout, Date of Birth 12-07-1952. I'm living together with my wife Jose in Heemskerk, a small town nearby the coast between Amsterdam and Alkmaar and of course in the Netherlands. In 2005 I became disabled and took up photography as a hobby after 37 years of making holiday snapshots. I like to learn as much as possible. My camera at this moment is the Canon EOS 5D Mark ll with a battery-grip. The lenses I use are the: Sigma EX 50mm F/1.4 DG HSM and the Sigma EX 180mm F/3.5 DG HSM APO Macro 1:1 and the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. On all lenses I've got UV- and Pola-filters. I use only the A or M-mode and I take my pictures in RAW and then my second hobby comes in. I edit those pictures on the computer with Adobe Photoshop CC and the complete Nik Software Suite. After several years my taste has developed from color into monochrome photography, and from all kind of subjects into abstract and in the first place people in all kind of situations and always using available light. I'm always photographing them with permission afterwards.
And sometimes I'll return to other subjects and it could be even in color now and then :-)

ps. I don't believe in votings as they are done here so I won't take part in that section and please don't propose any work of me

No need to say thank you for my comments but it would be nice if you took some time to look at my work and a comment or critiques are appreciated a lot

There's a new streaming on FotoCommunity of which I think it's a wrong one.
Everybody who takes the effort to give a comment on one of my uploads can count on a reaction on one of his or her uploads. That's called interaction if I'm not wrong. But on this moment 99% of the uploads I give a comment sending me thank you notes or appreciation notes but in my humble opinion that will cause the end of FotoCommunity. We're all showing our photo's and hoping for a comment with compliments or with serious critiques of which we can learn something. I think FC is slowly changing in a sort of Facebook with thumbs-up only.
And then there are the homepage photo's which seems to get worse by the days and sometimes these photo's are a real shame and making a laughing stock out of FC.
The same is happening on the Gallery, I think 90% of the photo's with a star should be in a dustbin instead of the Gallery.

Don't ask me to be your friend because I don't know you. Isn't meant personal but......If I like your work I'll follow it and give honest critiques and help when needed.
